Cost

 

Events and Transportations

Event cost includes: all of the walks on the itinerary, accommodation in a hotel with 2 sharing, excludes all meals as we are staying in Premier Inn hotels.  

  • £130 for 2 day hiking weekend (with transportation from London an additional £80) 

  • £200 for 3 days hiking extended weekend (with transportation from London an additional £110)

  • £240 for 4 days hiking extended weekend (with transportation from London an additional £130)

Any members that sign up late may incur additional cost as hotel room cost generally increases nearer to date.

Single supplement (non-sharing room) may be arranged but this is not guaranteed. The cost will be more for your own room.

 

Meals:

Event excludes all meals. During pre Covid times I would have reserved a good selection of restaurants for each evening, however during this Covid period this may not be possible as many restaurants are requesting a credit card to reserve a table.   Breakfast will either be at the hotel or near to the start of the walk.  Arrangements will be made for pack lunches.  Always best to bring your own pack lunch during the day of departure, as service station food may not suit you.  Michael will always be able to stop at food shop where you will be able to get food for your pack lunch.  Always best to bring snacks for your walk such as nuts, fruits, dried fruit, oak bars etc.  

 

Transportation: 

We are going to remote areas where there are no public transportation and are only accessible via vehicles.  Transportation is always guaranteed and will be organised for you if required.  One meeting point in London will be arrange for you.

 

The organised transport will include all journeys on the itinerary i.e. starting from London all journeys to all walks, restaurants and hotel etc. Cost varies depending upon total journey distance and whether a mini bus hire is required.  During the event it would not matter whether you travel via the designated mini bus or car as the price will be the same for all. 

 

All cost will be settled with the drivers in advance i.e. fuel cost, parking fees & tolls.  The designated drivers are regular walkers and will be walking on the event too, they have their own car and are willing to take the arranged passengers in return will get a reduction of the event cost.

 

Transportation Meeting points (start & finish):

For Cornwall, South Wales, the Gower and Cotswold the group's meeting point will be Hatton Cross tube station

For North Wales & Lake District, the group's meeting point will be from Uxbridge tube station

For Peak District & Yorkshire Dales the group's meeting point will be Colindale tube station 

For Dorset & Isle of Wight the group's meeting point will be Coulsdon South station

What is the refund policy? 

You can reserve your place on any event, months in advance with a £50 deposit.  I understand that member’s work, family & personal situation can change therefore do not require the balance until 10 days prior to the start of each event.  If you can no longer attend before transferring the balance, deposits can be transferred to any other event within the year's programme.

If you withdraw, within the 10 days period, and if I am able to find a replacement to fill your space I am more than happy to give you a refund of the balance and transfer your deposit.

If the government decides to lockdown the roads/region/towns and we cannot go, I will give a FULL REFUND to all, even up to the day of departure.
